A Message from the Head Administrator

Refining our Purpose
"It's all about Him."

This is the vision that God has put on my heart for Portersville Christian School....It's all about Him.

Transforming lives is our primary goal at Portersville Christian School. We are partnering with Home and Church to ensure that each student is growing in his or her walk with the Lord. We are building disciples for Christ. As our students - your children - grow spiritually, we will challenge them to go and make a difference in the world. Matthew 28:19-21, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Second, my challenge to our students, faculty, and the entire PCS family is that we learn to deny ourselves. Matthew 16:24, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me." We must remember that following Jesus requires a true commitment to denying ourselves. After all, it's not all about you or me, it's all about serving the Lord.

Third, I want all our students to know that they are loved. I believe that our students need to see how much they are loved in order to facilitate their growth: spiritually, academically, physically and socially. My goal is to challenge our faculty - and all those involved in nurturing our students' growth - to love our students first, and then teach them - and, when this occurs, we will foster a new passion within them to serve Jesus Christ as Lord.

Fourth, it is my hope and prayer that all of our PCS students will want to become more like Christ, and that we remember it is our responsibility to train them to think like Him. We need to challenge our students to become more like Christ each and every day. Ephesians 5:1, "Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us."

Fifth, it is our prayer to help our students strive to do what God wants and help them trust that He will change their desires. Philippians 2:13, "For it is God who works in you to will and to act according to His good purpose." Our students need to know that they serve a God who will provide the mission. Then, once they seek to do God's will, He will help them fulfill His mission. Moreover, they need to trust that He will be with them every step of the way and will see them through to His glorious conclusion.

Finally, we must all remember that Christian education is eternally important. We must strive to change lives for eternity, but it is costly, so costly that most communities do not have a Christian school. The entire PCS family makes sacrifices: sacrifices to send their children here, to work here, and to support the school. Although it is costly, we must be reminded of the ultimate sacrifice our heavenly Father made for us. We all need to join together in this awesome journey and give all that we have in order to transform lives that will be pleasing to God. Ultimately, we all must remember whom we serve.....we serve the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

In closing, I want to thank all of you involved with PCS, and I urge you to continue to pray for our faculty, for our staff, for our board, and for our students.

All Honor and Glory goes to Him!

In His Service,
Jeffrey M. DeSantes, M.S.
